Yes, we are led by a pilot, but he is one who reneged on his commitment to the reserve force that had mysteriously found a slot open when he needed it to avoid real service. To avoid service in a war his family supported politically but only others fought in. We are strategically led by fake patriots; who are really only imperialists wrapping themselves in a flag that stands for everything opposed to empire. We are flimflammed by the boys who tell us that the tax reductions will help an economy that has created no new jobs after a tax cut twice the size of this one. What the hell is going on here? Are we suddenly blind to duplicity and fakery by our leadership? Does the TV presence of a well-sold President matter that much? Or are we just too frightened of terrorism to demand the truth from our leaders any more?

The phony Idealism of this Bush and the Cheney that stands behind him reeks to high heaven. Does Democracy matter to men who took office the way they did? Does honor live in the same house with men who took hundreds of millions of dollars for their election pot of gold from the Ken Lays and other greedy bastards that funded them? The same men and women that are ruining our national job base while they crow about the profits they create by exporting jobs and decimating our middle class have profited hugely from forcing these men down our throats.

Then there are the feeble fools of the Democratic Party who are blessed with the wish that they could out Bush George Bush II. Even a party in such disarray that they are letting this fake President look better than they do on a daily basis should figure out that cloning Bush will not win them the Presidency. The fake Patriots in the Democratic Party who supported this military adventure in Iraq because the polls told them to are no better. I cannot dignify such a conflict with the word war, it was no war but a child being chastened by a far more powerful parent. I have seen spankings where the child under five years of age gave a better account of their self in resisting the spanking. Oh yes there was combat and we lost a few troops, I wish that we had not wasted their lives on an intransigent nation of people who will be a long time finding their way to Democracy. We now have the problem of how to help them find a new government without disturbing our hold on their oil, which was the real purpose of this "war".

Are we, a proud and honorable people, learning to accept the fake when it is presented to us with flair and showmanship over the real thing? It looks to me as if we are and that is sad for this nation's future. Our leadership is happy to reduce our response to their fakery to Pavlovian cheers dripping off our lips like the conditioned response of a dog. Get mad, you people on whom the whole world depends, get mad! Your children's lives will be wasted again and again if these people keep the power that they have stolen from you! Your lives will be more impoverished by their economic leadership, not less. Look around you; the need for police is growing at a time when more people are in our prisons than ever before. Why? Because so many of the people in this nation have nothing left to lose. Because the black children of our cities are drawn to gangs by that false sense of power that gang life brings. They are drawn to that false source of power by the helplessness that they feel in a society that neither educates them nor helps their parents support them by creating enough jobs to keep them employed.

Get mad, people of the promise of Democracy and fight for the truth and the honor of your flag and your nation. Fight the Republicans who lie to you about their dedication to the lives of children for whom they cannot spare the medical care that they often need. Fight the Democrats that tell you they know how to solve the world's problems using the Bush approach of preemptive war. Fight the lies and liars of both parties until they respect you again because today they are vying for the role of emperor and it is not their right. They are people, those legitimately elected by us, who have forgotten that they owe us the truth. Fight them or admit that their lie is easier to accept than the truth and that you can no longer handle the truth! God bless and keep you, our troops our protestors, and our fakes in Washington safe until we can replace them with real patriotic, honorable leaders who believe that they owe us the truth.
